Beanies (knit or fleece) make down a size for a snug fit

Straight Brim Hats (Woven – poplin, quilting cotton)

Ruffle Brim Hats (Woven – poplin, quilting cotton)

 

Add a chin strap (and holes to make the strap work when reversed/inside out)

Add extra ruffles to straight and ruffle brims

This pattern includes metric and imperial measurements.

Suitable hat fabrics should be non-stretch light-med weight such as quilting cotton, poplin, twil, drill, pinwale corduroy, light denim etc.

Suitable beanie fabrics can be fleece or knits like jersey and spandex blends

Hats can be machine or hand sewn. Beanie is designed to be made on an overlocker.

Ribbon / cord for chin straps

Medium fusible interfacing for straight brim (can use double layers of light interfacing)
