52 Week Sewing Challenge – Week 18

This weeks Challenge: Purse or Wallet (Accepted)

This week was the Tidy Travel Tote Sew Along so it made it an obvious choice to use as this weeks sewing challenge item.

The Tidy Travel Tote is a handy nappy clutch with snap-able handle that can be looped over your pram or trolley. Perfect for quick trips out of the house when you din’t want to take the whole nappy bag. This is my go to baby shower gift, especially for those mum’s who aren’t finding out what they are having as you can make something in fabrics/colours to suit the mum.

52 Week Sewing Challenge – 3 Months In

Wow! I can’t believe we are almost half way through April already. That also means we have finished the first 13 Weeks of the 52 Week sewing challenge so I thought it was time to recap what has been sewn so far this year. When I started this challenge I was hoping it would be a way to encourage me to sew something each week, so far this has been the case. It’s really great to look at the below images together. 52 Week Sewing Challenge – Week 11

This weeks Challenge: Something Green (Accepted)

 

A friend from work is having a baby soon and I wanted to make a few things for her, and this weeks something green theme matched perfectly with some leaf print drill that I have been wanting to sew up for awhile so I decided to complete both goals and make a Tidy Travel Tote for my friend. If you haven’t made one of these before they are great! Small and compact enough to fit in my handbag but big enough to hold wipes, nappies, a change of clothes and a few extra bits like creams.

 

 

And the handle is detachable/adjustable so it can be clipped onto a pram or bag handle if it’s too big to fit inside your handbag.

 

 

I can’t wait to give this one to my friend!
