52 Week Sewing Challenge – Week 15

This weeks Challenge: Something with Woven Fabric (Accepted)

 

I’m still enjoying sewing with girly fabrics this week and decided to make a bonnet to match the outfit I made in Week 6.

I used the bonnet variation from the Ultimate Bucket Hat.

I’ve already given the outfit away so I couldn’t get a photo of it all together but I’m so happy with the bonnet and can’t wait to give it to my friend.

52 Week Sewing Challenge – 3 Months In

Wow! I can’t believe we are almost half way through April already. That also means we have finished the first 13 Weeks of the 52 Week sewing challenge so I thought it was time to recap what has been sewn so far this year. When I started this challenge I was hoping it would be a way to encourage me to sew something each week, so far this has been the case. It’s really great to look at the below images together. 52 Week Sewing Challenge – Week 14

This weeks Challenge: Something with Flowers (Accepted)

In case you haven’t noticed I have been loving sewing up all things cute, little and girly in the last few weeks for a friend expecting a baby. This week is no different with me sewing up a pile of Hybrid Bibs as part of my gift.

These bibs are great, with 2 snaps on each side they are adjustable from newborn to toddler size and perfect to add to an outfit as a functional accessory.

These are a super quick sew, I am always surprised when I get them sewn up so quickly.

52 Week Sewing Challenge – Week 13

This weeks Challenge: Use a pattern you own but have never tried (Rejected)

 

I don’t think I could have strayed further from this weeks challenge if I had tried, I made some Sprouts Bloomies and turned them into puckers.

I am so in love with the colours and the way they turned out. I will post a tutorial on the how to next week because we are in the middle of moving this weekend and I really should be packing and cleaning.
